
01/08/01 DMIND Names New Chief Technology Officer NEW YORK (January 8, 2001) DMIND Corporation (http://www.dmind.com), a leading provider of e-business software and solutions, today announced the addition of William Rothe as its Chief Technology Officer.
DMIND's co-founder and former CTO, Ron Cagenello, Ph.D., is shifting his focus towards research and development strategies for DMIND's Internet Products Division. "We are at a pivotal point in our company's growth and development cycle, one that requires seasoned management skills to guide our successful transition to a large, yet nimble product-centric corporation," said Cagenello. "Bill's proven management style and valuable skills, developed during his 17-plus years in Information Technology, will be key components in attaining our mission to empower companies with the software and services to enable e-business."
With extensive experience in all aspects of Information Technology - including networking, distributed computing, application development and technical project management - Rothe brings to DMIND a total of 18 years experience working in some of America's most prestigious companies, including Brooklyn Union Gas, TRW and JP Morgan.
Rothe spent the past 11 years at Amerada Hess, where he served as application project manager, regional IT manager and manager of corporate IS projects and planning. A Fortune 200 company, Amerada Hess has been recently recognized by Information Week as one of the Top 100 Companies in America for innovative use of IT. During his tenure at the company, Rothe developed key management and technology skills and was responsible for setting global IT architectures, strategies and priorities, including a key role in launching an e-business strategy for the company. He also managed the activities of the office of the CIO as a member of Hess's IT senior management team.
A graduate of The Cooper Union School of Engineering with a BS degree in Engineering with concentrations in Computer Science and Mathematics, Rothe also holds an MBA from Baruch College with a major in Finance and Investments.
