02/12/01 Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and DMIND Announce eBusiness Alliance Relationship Extends DMIND's Global Reach; Investor Attention
NEW YORK February 12, 2001 Mitsui & Co., Ltd., one of Japan's largest trading conglomerates and a major force in international business development, and DMIND Corporation, a leading provider of e-business software and solutions, today announced a strategic alliance to provision e-business solutions for Mitsui. Mitsui, with holdings in every major industry and considered one of the premier IT infrastructure companies in Japan, also made a substantial investment in DMIND.
Ken Yamamoto, General Manager of Mitsui & Company's IT Solution Department, pointed to DMIND's products, including its soon-to-be-released next-generation Internet application, as solid Web infrastructure offerings and key to that company's decision to partner with DMIND. "We believe DMIND Corporation possesses the right formula for success - its mix of human capital and product development and deployment - in the global e-business marketplace. This alliance strengthens Mitsui's presence in the e-business marketplace."
Through its software and solutions, DMIND Corporation will work closely to help strengthen the Mitsui portfolio of companies in Japan. Among the initial projects will be BSI Co., Ltd., one of Japan's premier Internet, software and systems integration companies, specializing in wireless solutions.
"Our strategic alliance with Mitsui is significant, as is their investment in us," stated Thomas C. Kwon, DMIND's CEO/chairman. "It confirms the DMIND business model, which has evolved over the past four years. DMIND's products and solutions continue to Web-enable a wide variety of highly successful companies. Our next-generation Internet software product will be a big step forward in empowering the e-business landscape globally."
