With an extensive background in marketing, communications and research, Ferrari brings to BMA/NY more than 20 years of experience in the business-to-business arena. "Because of his understanding and leadership in both the 'old' and 'new' media, we're very pleased to have someone with Nick's depth of experience lead our New York chapter," said Rick Kean, executive director of BMA National.

Nick's primary focus as president of BMA/NY is to improve the field of knowledge in business-to-business marketing. "I'm looking forward to working for BMA/NY, in rebuilding the organization into a brand, offering members and non-members alike programs, services and events that are invaluable," Ferrari said.

Prior to joining DMIND, he was general manager of business development for Advertising Age and The Ad Age Group, where he was responsible for new business development, custom publishing, database management, association relationships, and editorial reprint and international licensing.

Previously, Nick had been director of marketing and communications for The Ad Age Group, responsible for all marketing disciplines including planning, coordinating and facilitating the development of comprehensive marketing strategies and tactics. He shifted the emphasis from acquiring customers to retaining and growing partnerships, effectively increasing advertising sales for the publications, as well as heightening brand profiles in the advertising, marketing and media communities.

Nick maintains a commitment to various industry organizations. Besides his ongoing work for the BMA/NY, he serves on the board of directors of the American Advertising Federation and is active on several industry committees, including the American Business Press and the New York American Marketing Association.
