06/22/01 DMIND Corporation Announces Licensing Agreement with Doosan Corporation
NEW YORK (June 22, 2001) DMIND Corporation, a leading provider of eBusiness software and solutions today announced an enterprise-wide licensing agreement with Doosan Corporation, Korea's oldest and first-registered company. The agreement covers multiple licenses of DMIND's content management and application-integration software platform, nGia, allowing Doosan to provision eBusiness solutions for its affiliated companies in Korea. Founded in 1896, Doosan is currently Korea's eleventh-largest conglomerate, conducting business in such sectors as heavy industry, construction, electronics, publishing, trading, brewing and hard liquors (Soju).
"This agreement with DMIND is in line with Doosan's continued focus on profitability and productivity. Doosan's restructuring efforts during the past five years drastically improved our financial structure and we believe implementing DMIND's solution will bring yet another enhancement to our operational performance and efficiency related to Internet businesses," said Doosan's CIO, Dr. Chang Keun Chung.
nGia features easy-to-use content management capabilities for Web enabling and managing external data in any language. It allows rapid creation, provisioning and management of application and content services through the Web and is the first fully componentized, XML-native application of its kind.
"Doosan's investment in DMIND's software is further endorsement of our strength as an eBusiness solutions provider-not just our next-generation application, nGia, but our entire eBusiness strategy. Coming on the heels of our other successes, we could not be more pleased," said DMIND CEO, Thomas Kwon.
